Why Buhari’ll probe only Jonathan’s govt – Presidency
ABUJA—The Presidency, yesterday, said President Muhammadu Buhari will limit his probe to the immediate past government of Dr Goodluck Jonathan. President Buhari had vowed, Wednesday, to arrest and prosecute former ministers and government officials who looted funds and stole Nigeria’s crude oil.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is a Nigerian law enforcement agency that investigates financial crimes such as advance fee fraud (419 fraud) and money laundering. The EFCC was established in 2003, by president Obasanjo, partially in response to pressure from the Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF), which named Nigeria as one of 23 countries non-cooperative in the international community's efforts to fight money laundering.

When President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua died on 5 may 2010 and Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan was sworn in on 6 May 2010 as the 14th Head of State of Nigeria, I was extremely pessimistic about his government effectiveness and seriously had doubts that his government would build on the legacy of late President Yar’Adua. As he set the mechanism of his government in motion, so many unpleasant events that unfolded proved me right.
