Boko Haram attack on Nigeria oil team killed over 50

Details emerging from Tuesday's ambush in northeast Nigeria suggest the death toll is higher than initially reported.

The army said Wednesday that 10 people were killed in the attack but sources say the number is much higher and rising

More than 50 people were killed in a Boko Haram ambush on an oil exploration team in northeast Nigeria earlier this week, multiple sources told AFP news agency on Thursday, warning the death toll could rise.

Female suicide bomber dies in botched attack on Army base

Maiduguri—Nigerian soldiers, yesterday, shot dead a suspected suicide bomber outside a Military base in Maiduguri, Borno State, a civilian vigilante and a military source told newsmen. The shooting detonated explosives concealed in her handbag.

Boko Haram:214 rescued girls pregnant – UNFPA

FOLLOWING—THE latest rescue of additional 234 women and children by the Nigerian Army from the Sambisa Forest in Borno State, indicated, yesterday, that a sizeable number of the rescued girls were visibly pregnant, even as unofficial reports put the latest number of pregnant girls in one of the camps in Borno as at last Saturday at 214.

Military flush out Boko Haram from Alagamo forest in Borno

Nigerian military says they have flushed out Boko Haram members from Alagamo forest in Borno after a coordinated operation today April 7th. In a statement released by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, the military said it recovered armoured fighting vehicles and computers in the terror groups camp.

“This morning, troops of the Nigerian Army along with support from the Nigerian Air Force, cleared the last camp of Boko Haram terrorists in Alagarno forest located between Kaga and Daboa local government areas of Borno, which link Yobe and Gombe States" the statement read

A roadside bomb tore through a bus station near a busy junction in northeast Nigeria on Thursday, killing 40 people including five soldiers, witnesses and a security source on the scene said.

41 Boko Haram members beheaded in Biu after failed attack

After a failed attempt on Sabon Gari in Damboa local government area of Borno state, a combined efforts of military officers and members of the vigilante group, otherwise known as Civilian JTF pursued the insurgents to Gur area around Mandafuma village, where they engaged them in a battle which lasted for about two hours, killing 41 members of the sect.
