I remember during the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007, AFRICA INDEPENDENT TELEVISION (AIT) was the only outstanding television station that gave Obasanjo tough time with its objective and people-interest reportage and fought against corruption by exposing corrupt practices.

Despite APC Reserve of the Ban On Ait, I Still Support Buhari For His Action By Terfa Naswem

This is one of the consequences of promoting hate campaigns. AIT management was supposed to tell Jonathan and PDP that such hate campaigns were against the fundamental ethics of journalism. But because of partisan politics and financial gains from Jonathan and PDP, AIT crossed the line. And they are already paying the price for them.

President-elect ‎Muhammadu Buhari has barred the African Independent Television (AIT) from covering his activities, citing issues of “ethics and standard” that need to be sorted out with the broadcast medium.
