Hon Mrs Mato Did Not Take Legal Action Against Dogara, Says Ugba By Terfa Naswem

The Director General, Mato Campaign Organization and Senior Legislative Aide designate, Mr. Teryila Ugba says Hon Mrs Dorathy Mato did not take legal action against Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara, the Speaker of the House of Representatives for failing to swear her in and did not at any time instruct anyone to do so on her behalf.

His attention was drawn to news trending on social media alleging that a suit has been filed against Dogara for failing to swear her in as directed by the Supreme Court by Bar. Mike Utsaha and a team of lawyers at a Federal High Court in Makurdi.

Responding to the news on social media, he emphatically said that Hon Mrs Mato has not briefed any legal team to take such action on her behalf as dialogue is ongoing to ensure smooth transition of power from Rt. Hon Herman Hembe to Hon Mrs Dorathy Mato.

He advised the public to stop overheating the polity stating that “you cannot cry more than the bereaved. Our able legal team has been directed to take necessary action and report back accordingly”.
