Forgive, be your brothers’ keeper, Buhari tells Nigerians

President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians to use the occasion of the Easter season to forgive those who might have wronged them during the electioneering period and come together as brothers and sisters to rebuild Nigeria.

Chronicling, the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ to save mankind from sin and other man-made imperfections. Buhari said that Nigerians must emulate the virtues which continued to make Easter a significant part of the lives of many Nigerians.

A statement yesterday by Dele Alake, Director of communications, APC campaign organisation quoted Buhari as saying that, “Nigeria needs all of us now to banish hunger, abolish poverty,

demolish injustice and furnish our nation anew with uncommon patriotism and exemplary sacrifice.
“As we turn a new page in the history of our great nation, as we open a new chapter in the struggles of our people to create the social and economic conditions that will make possible equal opportunities for the children of the poor and rich; for the graduates from North, South, East and West, we need to bury the conflicts of the past so that we can cherish the harmony that our new democratic republic shall bring.”

President-elect Buhari then enjoined all lovers of democracy in general and voters in particular to help shape a better and greater Nigeria with the votes that they will cast in the April 11 polls.
