140 Companies Participate In Kano International Trade Fair

No fewer than 140 companies are participating in the ongoing 35th Kano International Trade Fair.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the fair STARTED on Nov. 18.

The Secretary of the Trade Fair Organising Committee, Alhaji Yahaya Umar, told NAN in Kano on Tuesday that more companies were still being expected.

“For now we have 140 companies from different parts of the country that are participating in the fair.

“We are still awaiting the arrival of more companies in Kano because last year more than 300 companies participated in the fair,’’ Umar said.

He said each of the participating companies was provided with a minimum of 20 square centimeters at the COST of N76, 650.

“As an international trade fair, foreign countries are among the participants, including Turkey, China, Ghana, among others,’’ he said.

Umar said adequate measures had been taken to ensure security of participants and customers during the fair.

According to him, the importance of  the fair cannot be over emphasised because it will enable businessmen and women to establish business contact  and  relationship with partners from within and outside the country.  (NAN)
