Insecurity in the North East vs. Insecurity in the Niger Delta

Insecurity in the North East vs. Insecurity in the Niger Delta.
"Please save this write up".

I have come to realise that our people are quick to action but slow in remembering events around and within them. Our country men and women may be suffering from history senility since we forget our yesterday easily.

I want to remind those using Boko Haram insurgency in the North East as a cheap political score card, that hells fury will be smaller compared to the fury that will be unleashed on Nigerian economy by the Niger Delta Militants if Goodluck Jonathan is booted out of office in this manner. Those our Yoruba and Igbo brothers citing insecurity as ground to deny GEJ his second term in office will be the most lots to regret this prophecy if it comes to pass and it shall come to pass. Call me names if you like.

It took President Yar’Adua of blessed memory with the help of his vice GEJ, several amnesty efforts to bring back Nigerian economy on track when these boys shut down oil fields and chased out oil workers from Niger Delta. This time I foresee an economy that is on flatbed and everybody is groaning, weeping and gnashing the teeth. Note that the impact of the so called insecurity in the North East, instigated by power drunken politicians, have not been felt economically by the remaining parts of the country.

However the impact of shutting down Nigeria's oil and resultant violence will be disastrous to all and sundry. If we are crying of unemployment now I bet we will shed tears of regrets for not allowing today to rest in peace. Let's tread with caution please. A word is enough for the wise. May God Almighty help us to see the wisdom in this post.
