Russell Crowe broke his silence about his trip planned to the Vatican
City. He shared details as to why his visit was so important.
If you don’t know who Russell Crowe is, he is a New Zealand-born
Australian actor, film producer and musician. He has won many awards and
is well known.
Crowe and the Pope shared a few tweets and Crowe landed in the Vatican March 19th.
Crowe wouldn’t say if he had directly spoke to the Pope or not but as a
Non-Catholic he said, “I’ve never really felt any connection with the
Pope before. This guy is different. I like what he says… he’s changing
the tone of the way you regard the Pope and I think it is a magnificent
thing. I was very privileged and humbled to be in that environment.”
Why was this important? Well the film they created was very
controversial. The film talked about the bible and its meaning which a
lot of people didn’t agree with. The directors and film makers new this
would happen.
That is why the planned a trip to meet the Pope. But in reality the
Pope did not even talk to the producer as he admitted it, “No, I didn’t
meet with him,” said producer Scott Franklin. who also made the trip.
“He gave us great seats, and we were guests of his. The energy was
something you could barely experience in life.”
