A House of Representative member has raised alarm on discontent among the people of Kogi state.Faleke, who spoke after a meeting with the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, condemned the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello.Faleke while speaking to journalist, in Abuja, on Tuesday, January 31, said the All Progressives Congress Party under the leadership of Bello was crumbling in the state.Criticising Bello’s attempt to eliminate the state civil service of ghost workers, Faleke said, Bello has been against the opposition.
He said: “We came to the presidency to let the federal government know what is happening in Kogi state as regards the fortunes of the party, the way it is dwindling day by day as regards the civil servants, the welfare of the people and their relationship with the state government.He said the APC was losing its standing in the state.We want an intervention from the federal government to find a way forward in this situation.The governor of the state should recognize those who worked for the party and made the party to be successful. It is one thing to be victorious at the court level and another thing to carry the people along,” Faleke said.He called on the president to caution the Kogi state governor and encourage him to carry the people of Kogi state along in his dealings.

This is the fifth time he is setting up a committee to review staff strength with so many screening every day, people are dying,’’ he said.Faleke who was the running mate to late Audu Abubakar in the last Kogi state gubernatorial election said the governor is currently implementing anti-people policies.These policies, he said, were already having negative effects on the people of Kogi state.He added that the setting up of staff review committee by Bello was unnecessary and diversionary
