Colleges Of Education On Course To Award Degrees

Colleges of Education in the country are set to began the award of degrees in various programmes. The Committee Chairman of Governing Councils of Federal Colleges of Education, Senator Emmanuel Anosike stated this at after a meeting of chairmen of Governing Boards of Colleges of Education in Abuja.


He also reiterated that efforts are on ground to ensure that that the nation’s colleges of education would start awarding degrees in line with global trends.

According to him, such institutions as the Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri, Federal College of Education, Abeokuta and the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo were already affiliated to some universities to award degrees.

This is coming few days after the NUC has declared ‘pass’ degree as an irrelevant degree.
