According to First Coast News on Nov. 10, Karen Marx, 48, had been searching for her husband since 2005 when he walked out of their New London, Wisconsin home without leaving a note or even saying good-bye. Finally after many years had passed, she found her husband on Facebook.
According to People Magazine , Karen Marx’s husband had left her once before and that first time he left a note putting the blame on Karen and her inability to handle the kids. Karen said that the first time she felt as if he ripped her heart out of her chest.
He came back a few months later with his tail between his legs and she agreed to take him back. She told him if he ever did this to her again, she would never let him return. He did do it again and he was gone for nine years.
Karen searched for her estranged husband for years, to no avail, but when she did find him, he had another wife and family. “How could he get married again?” Karen asks, “Am I dead? What did he do with my identity?”
She met Adam while he was still married to another woman, but he divorced and married her. When he left nine years ago he left her in financial ruin. He had destroyed her credit.
She was shocked to hear he was married, but she wasn’t shocked to find out that he had told people his new marriage was his first. She decided that people should know about this guy and his past.
Adam faces charges of bigamy, fraud and making a false statement on a marriage license application. Karen is filing for divorce, now that’s she found her long-lost husband. There's no word about the new wife, but she can't be all that thrilled with the man she married having another wife he neglected to inform her about!
