FITC Nigeria - was established in 1981 as a non profit organisation limited by guarantee, based on the Company's Act of 1968, in response to the recommendations of the Pius Okigbo Committee set-up by the Federal Government of Nigeria to review the Nigerian financial system. It is owned by the Banker's Committee, which comprises of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, all licensed banks and discount houses in Nigeria.
Our client, an Electricity distribution company in Nigeria, is looking for young, vibrant, and intelligent men and women to fill the available position below:

Job Summary
- The successful candidate will be required to develop long-term corporate financial policies and strategies inline with overall corporate strategies.
- S/he will develop short-term operational plans in line with those policies and strategies, for effective financial management and optimizing financing cost;
- S/he will develop/ ensure policies comply with applicable accounting and financial reporting framework;
- S/he will develop and control the company's annual budget to ensure that all financial targets are met.
- S/he will coordinate with other departments for compliance and implementation of financial management policies, budgets, etc. with emphasis on controlling costs.
Job Requirements
Technical Requirements
- The successful candidate will be required to develop long-term corporate financial policies and strategies inline with overall corporate strategies.
- S/he will develop short-term operational plans in line with those policies and strategies, for effective financial management and optimizing financing cost; S/he will develop/ ensure policies comply with applicable accounting and financial reporting framework; S/he will develop and control the company's annual budget to ensure that all financial targets are met.
- S/he will coordinate with other departments for compliance and implementation of financial management policies, budgets, etc. with emphasis on controlling costs
- Negotiate with lenders, review credit requirements considering the debt servicing Report financial information to the CEO and Board at periodic intervals.
- Comply with the financial reporting requirements of Regulator Body - NERC, lenders and other stakeholders of the company; and coordinate the preparation of financial statements that will meet financial, regulatory and compliance objectives of the company.
- Advice the Company Secretary on funding requirements of the organization for matters related to issuance of fresh equity shares, preference shares or debentures for the company.
Educational Qualifications
- The candidate must have a first degree and a master's degree in any of the Social Sciences/or equivalent.
- S/he must have a professional qualification in accounting such as ACA, ACCA, ANAN, CIBN.
- In addition, candidate must have minimum of 15 years relevant experience to the job objectives, of which at least 10 must be in rendering related services in a large utility company, FMCG, bank or oil & gas company and not less than 5 years in a senior management position
- Must be proficient with the computer, with special emphasis on project management - Microsoft Excel and Power Point presentation skills Knowledge of IFRS and ability to implement an accounting software.
- Must have demonstrated leadership skill and established skill in written and oral communications
